I began my legal career in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s office over 16 years ago. Over the course of the numerous positions I have held in the office, I have prosecuted virtually every type of case my office handles including homicides, assaults, sexual assaults, burglaries, robberies, domestic violence, white collar crimes, and drug offenses. Now as the Jackson County Prosecutor I have the privilege of leading some of the area’s most experienced and talented trial attorneys in their efforts to bring justice to our community. Although it is a difficult profession, I believe prosecution to be the most important and honorable position an attorney can hold. I am proud and grateful to have been able to dedicate my career to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office.
My first priority as Prosecutor is now and always will be, protecting our citizens. Incarceration, as well as other restrictions on the liberty of criminals, prevents crime and is an important tool in protecting our community. However, I believe a prosecutor has a duty to protect our citizens beyond the use of incarceration. As your prosecutor I have and will continue to work toward eliminating the social ills that cause crime.
